Stuart C. Irby Co. recognizes that employees have the right to work in an environment free of alcohol and drugs and to work with persons free from the effects of alcohol and drugs. Employees who abuse alcohol or drugs are a danger to themselves and to other employees. In addition, drug and alcohol abuse inflicts a terrible toll on the nation’s resources and the health and well-being of American workers and their families.

Stuart C. Irby Co. requires that every newly hired employee be free of alcohol abuse or drug usage. Each offer of employment shall be conditioned upon the passing of a urinalysis for alcohol and drugs. The company will not hire any applicant who fails to pass the pre-employment alcohol and drug test. Stuart C. Irby Co. conducts additional drug and alcohol testing on a random selection basis, for reasonable cause, for commercial vehicle operators, and for post-vehicle or job-related accidents.
