Training and Development

The goal of Stuart C. Irby Co.’s Training Program is to increase the realization of each person’s potential on the job. Each employee is encouraged to learn as much as possible about his/her particular job, company history and activities beginning with New Employee Orientation Training implemented at both Corporate and Branch offices. To facilitate organized and thorough training of each employee, Training Checklists are available for major positions within the company. Given the highly technical nature of much of our business and the rapidly changing technology of the electrical industry, it is essential that every employee be kept updated in their various positions through training programs designed to increase their level of competency and qualify them for advancement within the company. Careful consideration is given when recommending specific on-going training programs that will increase a particular employee’s level of development and value to the job.

Stuart C. Irby Co. makes extensive use of the professional education programs available through the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) and other industry-related associations. The company contributes toward the professional development of any employee who wants to further their education, through company-sponsored attendance at trade fairs, seminars, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and participation in professional training associations.

Training Programs: Stuart C. Irby Company coordinates or offers a variety of training programs in the following areas:

> New Employee Orientation (NEO)
