These patented conductor cutters are half the size and weight of standard ratchet cutters. Two styles of the compact cutters ratings match a wide range of overhead and underground conductors. They can get into such confining workspace as manholes and handholes. In practice, they open in less than half the space required for long-handled ratcheting cutters. Their small size also saves on toolbox and warehouse storage. To give long service life, the design of these compact cutters is based on a simple ratchet mechanism. Simple controls and sure ratcheting action makes working with them easy. C-type jaws are heat-treated for lasting srength and sharpness. Stampings on the jaws indicate application limits. Despite their small size, they are built to take punishing field conditions. The reinforced-fiberglass handles are PVCcoated and protected by a vinyl sleeve. Thick vinyl grips shield the handle ends and help worker keep a steady grasp.

The new S-24CC, S-32CC and SP-24CC hydraulic cutters were specially engineered to cut the toughest EHS guy wire, ground and anchor rods.
The anvil style, center cut blades eliminate jamming problems common to shear style cutters, and the blades are easily replaced in the field.
The tools are made of high grade steel and have rubber handle grips. All tools are black zinc oxide coated to help reduce corrosion.
A flip top latch opens the tool jaw to easily accept cables and wires. The head can be rotated up to 180 degrees to facilitate easy wire positioning and operator leverage.
The SP-24CC is the remote head version, which requires an external 10,000 PSI pump in order to operate.

Cutting Electrical and Structural Cable has been reduced to an easy task with the advent of the CACT-Co family of Cartridge Actuated Cutters.
The open frame -A- Model is prepared for cutting by first twisting the handle and pulling back to expose an open breech. A proper color coded catridge is inserted in the breech and the handle is pushed forward and rotated to lock into position. The cutter head is placed over the cable and the double action trigger is pulled resulting in a instantaneous cut of the cable.
The A-1 cutter is designed to cut 5/8 inch cross arm bolts and 1/4 to 1/2 inch guywire. Police, Fire and other emergency services will appreciate the capability of the A-1 to quickly sever 1/2 inch square security bar tubing. The A-1 will also cut ACSR up to 3/4 inch in areas requiring storm damage cleanup.

CACT-Co's Model A-5 Cable Cutter was designed to meet the needs of the power industry in cutting large diameter power distribution and 1000 KCMIL AL cable has been the benchmark cable for this cutter. Our clients have requested and evaluation of the model A5 on "Bluebird" ACSR-2156.We can now report a successful technique for cutting this cable with the Model A5 & ACSR cutter.
The A5 Cutter is loaded and placed on the cable as described in our previous literature. While 2.00 inch 1000 KCMIL AL is cut with one cartridge, Bluebird - 1.762" diameter is cut with three shots, (three firings in the same place).
Contrast the speed and quality of cut on Bluebird (less than two minutes from start to finish) with any other method in use. You will find the Model A5ACSR to be the clear Winner.
